Pressure Die Casting

Pressure die casting is a quick, cost-effective and reliable manufacturing process. Pressure die casting process is characterized by forcing molten metal under high pressure into a mold cavity, consisting of two machined and hardened tool steel dies. The molten metal solidifies rapidly (from milliseconds to a few seconds) to form a net shaped component. It is then automatically extracted. Most die castings are made from non-ferrous metals, specifically zinc, copper, aluminium, magnesium, lead, pewter and tin based alloys.
