At 3ERP, we offer many different rapid tooling technologies to serve your injection molding needs. We create prototypes through both bridge tooling and short run production tooling.

We often produce your tooling in-house using our extensive manufacturing capabilities. Otherwise we access our database of reliable rapid tooling providers.

3ERP provides injection molding rapid tooling for both high-volume and low-quantity parts production. Lead times range from 10 days to 6 weeks. We are even capable of supplying injection-molded parts and rapid tooling simultaneously.

What Do We offer?

We provide prototypes and bridge rapid tooling for production quantities ranging from 50-2,000 pieces.

Bridge rapid tooling is useful for verifying materials selection, part designs, and tooling concepts. Prototype bridge rapid tooling is also used for limited product lifespan production runs and supplying parts while production tooling is being manufactured.

We specialize in short-run production rapid tooling for production quantities ranging from 1,000-100,000 pieces.

Short-run production rapid tooling is widely used once the part design, material requirements, and manufacturing quantities are well defined.

 

Technical Overview of Rapid Tooling:

3ERP uses aluminum tooling in our rapid tooling services. Aluminum is a versatile material for rapid tooling applications: it can be CNC machined, EDM processed, and textured. Aluminum can even be used to create undercuts.

3ERP is capable of injection-molding the following materials with rapid tooling:
– ABS (Cycolac)
– Polycarbonate (Lexan)
– Polycarbonate/ABS (Cycoloy)
– Nylon (Zytel)
– Polypropylene
– Polyethylene

We can also mold almost any thermoplastic material or engineering-grade resin.
